Becoming an emagine/press author is easy, and you will not be required to have a literary agent. That's because we do the work that the literary agent would do, except we take it a few steps further.

Our process is simple and outlined in 7 easy steps.

1. send us your inquiry.
2. we'll request to read a brief summary of your manuscript.
3.  if we like what we see so far, we'll ask for your complete manuscript. Your manuscript will be read in full and we only choose works that we feel are strong in quality.
4. if we feel that emagine/press can better support your writing career we will make you an offer and send you a contract. Our contract will be unlike any standard publishing contract. We won't hold your novel captive for seven years like some vanity publishers do, instead you sign a managerial/literary agent/publishing contract. You read it right. We'll act as your literary agent and help manage the publication of your novel, even get it distributed by big name publishing houses.
5. once the contract is signed and processed at our offices we will begin working with our affiliates to publish your novel as a "pre edition" and have it accessible and ready for sale on the internet, which includes Amazon.
6. once your "pre edition" novel is ready and online we will begin heavy marketing of your book and grow your "independent sales" as we begin to work towards the next phase of the cycle.
7. once people start buying your book online we will begin pitching your novel to top publishing houses for major distribution.
